BRUSK In Nomine Artis
Passionate about drawing from an early age, the French artist Brusk discovered graffiti and hip-hop culture in 1991. From then on, the city became his playground and he constantly surveyed it in search of new media capable of to welcome his creations. Highways, railways, trains, vacant lots, wastelands, deconsecrated churches, everything is a pretext for him to deploy his delirious visual universe made up of typographical twists, abstract explosions, ultra-realistic characters and scenes of urban riots. In this new monograph, Brusk embraces art as a whole and returns to the fundamentals of classical art, inspired by the greatest masters of painting and sculpture. Michelangelo, Monet, Picasso, Giacometti, Magritte... Brusk revisits works from the Renaissance, from Impressionism, Surrealism to Pop-Art by introducing his personal touch, his current questions and his civic concerns in particular. in matters of ecology.
