Cosmonometry, prefaced by Mode2, is the first monograph dedicated to the artist Pro176, active member in turn of the WH, GT, UB and RTZ crews among others. The book takes us, from the beginning of the 90s to the present day, into the universe of the artist from Graffiti. His cosmic wall paintings, drawings and canvases testify throughout the book to Pro176's evolution towards what is now commonly referred to as the “Galactik style”. Cosmonometry is his incessant research around the geometry of his letters. The artist offers us here all the generosity of his work through more than 400 visuals and texts testifying to his reflection around his art. And the opinions of speakers like Skeme, Oeno, Cope2 or Jay1, to name a few, support his point. Diksa: “Pro176 does not seek to be in tune with the times but rather out of it, creating its own dimension where heroes, villains, creatures, wizards, magicians rub shoulders”. Or David Pluskwa: “Today, his deconstructions, his dislocations, his astonishing transformations in acrylic place him directly in the lineage of Roy Lichtenstein or even Gudmundur Erró, of whom he is to this day one of the most illustrious heirs. .” All texts are in French and English.
