JANA & JS - With open walls

Blocks of buildings, car parks being demolished, abandoned factories, the urban and industrial landscapes that surround Jana & Js never cease to inspire them.
This couple of artists relies on the city and its ever-changing architecture to create their meticulously detailed “photographic” stencils.

They paint landscapes of iron and steel, bricks and concrete, and silhouettes who observe, photographers most of the time, who sketch the city and its passers-by. Precise and impactful, their stencils make the city dweller interact with his direct environment through games of mirrors and mise en abyme: true reflections of our world.
