Opus Délits #80 Miss Van and her muses

Toulouse, 1990s: this is where the story of Miss Van begins. She paints on the walls of the city, with a brush, dolls made up and colored, sensual and provocative. Twenty-five years later, in Barcelona and around the world, the female figures of Miss Van still strongly assume their sensuality. They now evolve in an extravagant universe inspired by the circus, dance, and ethnic crossbreeding. We find there, mixed, hair, masks, beaks, fawns, feathers or nipples. Attributes that make up hybrid characters, between wild instinct and delicacy. This voluptuous and bewitching duplicity marks the originality of the paintings of Miss Van, one of the greatest figures in contemporary international urban art today.
