Woshe│Blackbook
More than 25 years after its arrival in France, graffiti is still too often reduced to its social pseudo-character. The concept of Blackbook is to break with this largely limiting approach by presenting the personal work of a graffiti artist, Woshe, and the universe in which it takes place. Follower of a classic style inherited from the New York pioneers, the author provides tools to allow another reading, perhaps more relevant, of his alphabetical stunts. After a first didactic part, which offers keys to understanding the logic of construction of the 26 letters of the alphabet, the multiple ways of assembling them together to achieve a rhythmic and harmonious lettering are declined. Woshe thus puts the reader in condition to look with new eyes at his most significant works, presented in the third part.
